Moments before golden hour on the first August night at North Hampton State Beach in North Hampton, New Hampshire was picturesque. A long stretch of sand with the sound of deep blue waves crashing made this a beautiful summer reading spot. With at least a month of hot and hazy days ahead, I hope to spend the remaining golden hours of summer right here at this beach. Quiet enough to hear the waves, I easily got lost in my newest beach read, One Italian Summer, by Rebecca Serle. A book that has been on my TBR shelf for months, waiting for the perfect summer season to get lost in the power of love.

Beginning to flip through the pages, I took a moment to see the location around me. With ample parking and a clean public bathhouse, I could easily picture myself spending a whole day here. Not to mention… right across the street hosts a popular New England Ice cream stand with an abundance of ice cream flavors and fresh local seafood bites. With generous portions and classic and unique flavors, I can see why no trip to North Hampton Beach is complete without visiting The Beach Plum.

After ending our trip with ice cream, I packed my beach bag and we traveled up a rock pathway. Cute, cozy seaside cottages line the way back to the parking lot as we took in our final views. Blue as far as the eye can see and golden hour sunshine provided us with a dreamy lasting impression of this New England Reading location.
